Summer Is Here: Rennervation's June Recap

June arrived with all the energy of a season that refuses to sit still. Graduations, give-back days, outdoor galas, youth adventures, and rooms full of people passionate about doing good, this month had it all. We jumped into summer headfirst and could not be more grateful for every moment of it. Here is how June went for Rennervation.

  Dutch Bros Give Back Day

Dutch Bros showed up for our community in the best way this month with a Give Back Day benefiting Rennervation, where $1 from every drink sold came back to the foundation. Simple, fun, and a great excuse to grab your favorite drink for a great cause.

We love partnerships like this one because they meet people right where they are and make giving feel effortless and joyful. Thank you to Dutch Bros for your generous support and for rallying your community around ours.

  Youth on the Move: SNJ Girls in STEM Camp

One of the highlights of our early summer was taking 40 to 50 of our campers to SNJ for their weekend camp experience as part of Youth on the Move. Getting our young people into spaces that spark curiosity, build confidence, and open doors to new possibilities is exactly the kind of programming we believe in, and this was no exception.

Watching our youth step into an environment dedicated to Girls in STEM and thrive there was an incredible thing. We are so grateful to SNJ for the partnership and for creating a weekend that our campers will absolutely be talking about for a long time to come.

  Las Vegas Graduation Celebration

We headed to Las Vegas to celebrate a very special milestone: the graduation ceremony for our teens, hosted by the Clark County Division of Family Services. Graduations are always a powerful reminder of how far our youth can go when they have the right support around them, and this one was no different.

We were also thrilled to be able to give out laptops to our foster youth at this event, made possible through our wonderful partnership with AT&T. Access to technology is access to opportunity, and putting those tools directly into the hands of our young people was one of those moments that just fills you up completely. Thank you, AT&T, for making it happen.

  May Arboretum Gala

We were grateful to attend the May Arboretum Gala, a lovely evening supporting the Arboretum and exploring the potential for future workshops and programming for our clients. The setting was beautiful and the conversations were even better.

We connected with some wonderful people including colleagues from the Nevada Women's Fund, and came away energized by the possibilities ahead around collaboration and community-based programming. We also had the pleasure of meeting a young woman with lived experience in foster care who is doing inspiring work around food insecurity for young adults, and we are very much looking forward to continuing that conversation. Evenings like this are such a good reminder that the right room can open up so much. Thank you to the May Arboretum for a truly special night.

  Boosted Diplomas Graduation

We were so glad to show up and cheer on the graduates at the Boosted Diplomas Graduation ceremony. Boosted Diplomas is doing incredible work helping students reach the finish line, and celebrating alongside them and their families was a genuine privilege.

To every graduate: we see you, we are proud of you, and we cannot wait to see what you do next. Thank you, Boosted Diplomas, for the invitation and for everything you do for students in our community.

  Philanthropy on Tap

We stepped up to the mic at Philanthropy on Tap for a 90-second pitch in a room of 40 attendees and 23 fellow nonprofits, all serving the Northern Nevada area. Events like this are electric because everyone in the room is there for the same reason: to do good and find the people who can help make it possible.

The connections we walked away with were the real prize of the evening. We met two strong potential funders, reconnected with familiar faces, and were thrilled to connect with both CASA and the Humane Society of Truckee Tahoe, both of whom expressed interest in being part of our 2027 camp. That kind of excitement and buy-in is exactly what we were hoping to find, and we are so grateful for every conversation that happened that night.

Looking Ahead

June was full of the kind of energy that carries you straight into summer. Graduations, new partnerships, youth adventures, and community generosity at every turn. We are stepping into the heart of camp season with so much gratitude and excitement for what is ahead.
